Tree Rescue Kit

I probably have not given this subject enough thought in the past, but there was a great article in the HG/PG magazine regarding self rescue techniques for paragliders. In the article they demonstrated a way to use your own harness while rappelling from a high tree. I like the idea of being able to stay in your protection as well as the self reliability. There is a device/kit they sell which looks like it may simplify the process called the Let Me Down rappel device. I am thinking of getting one. I noticed they have a multiple purchase discount available at http://towmeup.com/. You can buy the rappel device alone for $29, or buy 5 get 6, or buy 10 get 13. Additionally, they sell a kit (my preference) with instructions, 103 feet of 6mm perlon line, stainless quick link, and bag for $84 or club price of 10 kits for $650. I am willing to order and distribute the kits if enough people are interested. I think it is well worth it for $65 each.
