There is a pilot who flies I think out of Sylmar that uses a paragliding harness and flies his Saturn hang glider. He did a very nice video showing sites like Yosemite, Big Sur and Sylmar and edited it nicely with a nice mellow sound track. And yes, he is occationally using the side wires for turning and landing.
