Anne-Odile Thomas (Skippy) gave birth to a 7 lb 2 ounce baby girl a few days ago. I can't remember which day as I haven't slept in days. She's a beautiful, prescious little thing. Alreadly bonding with daddy!!
Her name is Kirra (after the surf spot in Australia Anne-Odile and I surfed togethor at) Josephine(after her Breton grandmother) de Groot(Daddy's last name). We are being well taken care of at Cottage. The staff there is amazing. We will return home on Tuesday if all goes well. Visiting hours are between 1 and 8 p:m.

Was she born with wings or will she have to use a flying apparatus like the rest of us?

My guess is she was born with wings. That being said, I also guessed she was a boy, based on the way Skippy was carrying her (low and pointy) (old wives tale).

Congratulations! Get used to the not sleeping part at least for the first couple of months. Our new little one just started sleeping through the night at about 2 months. Your body will adjust and it gets used to only sleeping for 3-4 hours at a time. Then when she does start sleeping through the night, you will wake up worried about her for the first few weeks. Like everyone says, they are life changing ( for the better), enjoy! Can't wait to meet her.

Hi Ya'll,
What day is it? We are in quite a daze here, or suffering from acute sleep deprivation... Either way, it's hit us hard...
We are so blessed to have a beautiful healthy little girl, and we can't wait to introduce her to the rest of the world. This said, Tony has already bought a shotgun to keep the little boys at bay (i.e Duke Zender, Sean Angel and the likes...) :-)

You both are so lucky to have such a beautiful, healthy, baby girl. I can't wait to meet her... I'm jealous of Deens and Duke for beating me to it. Remember..... sleep when the baby sleeps...
