SCPA Meeting

Did we ever come to a consensus on when the next SCPA meeting was going to be?

Friday, June 8th at OJ's house. Let's break the record for attendance and have six pilots show up. Maybe even the president.

Well...I guess someone should have told me sooner. I have a conflicting schedule that week and will not be able to host or attend. How about a BBQ on a Saturday afternoon after some epic Ojai flying? We need to find out when the Prez will be available.

Don't worry about a thing, Tom and I are on the job! We'll treat it like our own home - you can trust us! Is the key still on the ledge over the garage window?

I've got a couple hundred golf balls from the driving range, can you make sure the correct barrel is on the air canon before you leave? Oh, and make sure the fridge is full of beer...

Since when do Caves have "Keys", "Garages" or for that matter... "Windows"?

next thing you know, Cavemen will have a TV Show

I find your "cave" reference stereotypical and highly offensive. And while we're at it, I don't drag my woman around by her hair either. (Date-night being the exception of course.)

The next SCPA meeting will be held on Saturday June 9th, starting around 3:00 (or whenever we get done flying.) Beer and BBQ provided. Bring some trunks for the hot tub if you want to soak your bones. (No naked Italians this time.)
790 Oakwood St. Ojai.

I was really planning on going to this next meeting to meet all of you from the Ojai area. But turns out I will be out of town this weekend.
Robert Hurlbett had invited me to it and also to join you at the High school meeting area. I am interested to learn more of Ojai flying sites and whether their pilot rating require me to go with an instructor (Eagle Paragliding). I'm rated a P2 with 60+ flights but limited thermal experiences. Most of my flights have been in Fillmore, CA.
I will try and make the next meeting. :D

Sorry you won't be able to make this month's meeting Mark. As far as flying Ojai goes, lots of P2's have cut their teeth on our ratty thermals. Check out the vids that Chris posted recently, those visiting pilots had much less airtime than you and they kicked butt. The SCPA has a large knowledge base to tap into and we enjoy introducing new pilots to the area. Keep in touch. Ojai John.
