Owens is coming up!!

It's looking like the Pine flights last weekend are a good indicator for the Owens trip coming up in a few weeks. The Owens valley is a great place to set those personal bests so get ready for a great trip.

It would be great to get things lined up early for the trip ie: rides, chase vehicles/drivers, maps, etc. I know there are some pg/hg Owen's virgin's (myself included) coming on the trip and I would like to make it easy for us to get prepared and ready for the trip.

I would like to recommend over the next week or two that anybody who is planning on driving up there, and has space in their vehicle for others, to email me at james.zender@verizon.net as to how many spots you might have available for other pilots to ride with you (riders please be prepared to chip in and help with expenses).

Pilots looking for a ride, can email me and hopefully we can put some poeple together and make transportation an easy obstacle to overcome.

Any other input and/or recommendations by verterans please feel free to add to this post.

This week!!! Yes... it is time. So far, it looks like we are going to be having a good crew up there this year. It's going to be a BLAST!

Here's the scoop. Initially, we are fairly spread out but a major portion of the group will be at Tuttle Creek Campground Thursday and probably through Friday. Saturday morning we will meet at the High Sierra Cafe in Lone Pine to discuss the day. We will also be keeping in touch in case someone scored "the perfect camping spot". Everyone keep in touch if you aren't at the Cafe for breadfast Saturday morning. It looks like we have a few drivers up there as well. Thank you for your service and help!! We ALL appreciate it.

It's looking to be really nice with temps in the upper 80's to low 90's, so dress accordingly! We are looking forward to seeing you all there. [/b]
