Garmin GPS need to mount to leg...

Postby gracecab » Fri Jan 16, 2015 8:07 am

Can anyone point me to ideas of mounting a Garmin 76s to my leg.

I have no case for it, nor am I using a harness pod (yet)...

muchas.

A mount like this one ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQxg9Bj3vOc#t=52 ) could be used.

I wore a gps on my leg for years by putting it in a case and attaching a 3" wide strip of elastic to the back. After figuring out how long the elastic needed to be I folded the ends over and put snaps through the doubled-up material. Got the elastic and snap kit at a fabric store. For a larger unit like the 76s I would use two widths of elastic (or wider material if you can find it) around your leg to keep it from sliding down while running. Of course, a safety lanyard attached to the harness should still be used.
