Once you're registered you can vote.

Oh and that particular poll has closed. Truax is still convinced we can stop the spam by banning IP addresses and that the membership wants an open board. That's why the registration requirement is still off. I think there will be yet another poll and a vote at the club meetings before the requirement gets turned on again.
I've given up playing whack-a-mole with the spammers. It's too frustrating when I know there's a workable solution.

Truax’s position in not what Chris Grantham states. Despite my personal investment of numerous private emails trying to enlighten him, Chris apparently is unable to support the process of arriving at consensus.

I think we already have a consensus (general agreement). We're at a point now where we're starting to lose people (particularly those who are most active) from the board because of the spam and the current solution is not working. The poll was clear, and the consensus from all but one member posting to the discussion board has been in favor of requiring registration. We can get mired in the bureaucratic process but there's a point where the support is so overwhelmingly high that we just need to do it. We can solve the problem right now. We just need you to give us the thumbs up. The alternative is to keep it in its current open state, deal with the SPAM on a piece by piece basis, and ban entire continents from even seeing the board much less posting to it. Lets just make it happen and fix the problem! Please!

For what it’s worth, I whole hardily agree that this spam issue has to be dealt with. I support log in requirements if it eliminates the problem.

More importantly, I would like to thank Chris for his efforts. Despite the resistance that he’s met, Chris has really done a nice job building this web site. I'm sure the majority of the SCPA also appreciates his work.
