At our SBSA club meeting on 3/4 we had a representative from Cal Star Air Ambulance tell us the benefits of joining their membership program. We have applied having a group membership and here is what you need to do to take advantage of this program.

The Skinny: This program covers you and/or your family in the event ANY Calstar air ambulance is used throughout California (Nor. Cal down to Carp.) and ALSO has a reciprocal program through their partners that covers all of WA, OR, ID and WY. The cost of transport usually runs from 20-40K. (Please note that this is entirely different than SB and Ventura Counties Rescue Helicopter)

To take advantage of the group membership of $35 per year we need a minimum of 15 people to join. (If you want to add any family/dependents that are not part of SBSA then you go to the main site and sign in under Family Membership)

To learn more about this program here is the link to some info: Main website Membership program details

If you are ready to join please go to the page here: ... lstar&id=6

A few things you need to know:

Name of Club: Santa Barbara Soaring Association

Group Coordinator: Cormac O'Brien

Email: Your own

Indicate Region: Cal Star 7 - Santa Maria

Hey does anyone want to re-up for 2015? If we can get 15+ people on board it will be only $30 each instead of 45!

Email me if yes!
