Holiday Party

Postby Marge » Fri Dec 11, 2009 11:02 am

The party is on rain or shine. John Lyon and John Greynald have made some sort of plan to structure the outside for shelter and heat. They are going to start work this afternoon. Let us know if you can help.

Important:

Party time - Due to the rain and cloud cover expected it doesn't look like we'll be flying. There are several people coming early to take advantage of the sunlight and start partying so feel free to come anytime. Many people are coming early and talking we thought we would start the party early and take advantage on the sunlight (whatever is available). We will start dinner around 6:00 or so. If you have other plans and can't come until later that's fine, we'll be partying into the night.

Dogs - you know we love dogs and people in the flying community have the coolest dogs but... if everyone who usually brings their dog does so we'll be over run with dogs. We only have one kennel and we are going to use it for the children :D

Parking - Parking is limited on the streets so you might want to carpool. If you can't find a spot right around the house there is probably room around the Wilcoxs on Medcliff.

Dress - It is cold on the Mesa especially with the rain. Make sure to dress in warm clothing and jackets etc.

Menu - Greg Brown is arranging the menu. IF you have not spoken to him or told us what you are bringing, please contact him at glbro@earthlink.net or 805-637-8781.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing everyone Saturday.

Cheers,
Marge

We need FIREWOOD. If anyone can bring firewood please let us know.

Hammer already brought some, however it fell into our fireplace over the last couple of cold nights.

Note: There is a spa, so be prepared if you think you might feel like taking a hot soak.

SA, already delivered a bunch of Pies.

Sorry I missed the most of the party, but I just wanted to send out a huge thank you to Marge, Chris and Bob for hosting at their home. Also John L and John G for putting up the giant awning and providing heat. I'm sure there are a lot of people I'm forgetting (but like I said I wasn't there most of the night).

Now let's fly this week before we're all too busy!

Happy hollidays to everyone,
Zac

Yes Marge, Bob, Chris thank you for hosting our SBSA party. It was really nice to see everyone. The outside area was done really well and the food was yummy. Also, thanks to LZ for being such a good host with our daughter Kirra!
