Temporary TFR?!

Stay tuned for a temporary TFR which will be in effect starting September 15th for approximately 20 days as they hydro-mulch the burn areas.

I assume this is going into effect today.

There is no TFR for Santa Barbara area.

Looks like the TFR finally went into the system http://tfr.faa.gov/save_pages/detail_9_9879.html. I might be driving to Sylmar the middle of next week looking to fly. I'll post if anyone is interested.

For all you airtime deprived pilots out there, I just did a little side project and created a map of the Santa Barbara Airspace in Google Earth. Its not the best that can be done, but it works.
