Flytec 5030- email local Google Earth flights with site name

Postby Mark Miyahara » Fri May 18, 2007 5:09 pm

Hi all,
This is my first posting on the SCPA site. I'm a P-2 trained by Rob Sporrer (Eagle Paragliding)...Licensed in Oct 2006. I've had limited thermal flying, ridge soaring here in Fillmore, CA , with Dr. Mark Pratt.
Enjoyed reading all the flight info....but not familiar with the names and places often referenced in them.
I recently got a Flytec 5030GPS that downloads flights into the Flychart 4.52 program then with one click on the Google Earth Icon it sends all the 3D flight info into Google Earth. You can the Rename it and change view points and such. Email size is small about 1K. To email right click on the folder in Google Earth and select EMAIL from the list.
My question is this...If some of you other pilots have this also could you possibly email me those flights done here locally , so I can get a feel of the terrian and locations.
Or if someone is familiar with Google Earth...add placemarks and label them.
Email:mmiya777@hotmail.com

P.S. Some of you are terrific writers...I am amazed at the wit and expressions you come up with!

Thanks,
Mark Miyahara

There is a google earth site guide on the OZ report that can help you with some of the locations.

http://ozreport.com/sites.php

Hope that helps,
