I'm catching up with life after my trip to Brazil and just put up some of my photos on my web site. You can check them out at http://www.CirclingHawk.com/brazilphotos.html

I took 1 student down for a 3 week adventure and I'd say we had a great time. His longest XC flight before we went was 5 miles. Our first day we flew 28 miles with low saves and areas of nice lift with cloud streets. We had some great flying for sure. We flew quite a bit in Governador Valadares and then ventured off to 3 other flying sites in the next state called Espirito Santos. We flew in Pancas, Alfredo Chavez and my favorite - Castelo. It's a long drive there from GV, but I'd say well worth it. They just held a PWC there last week - so it's becoming famous quickly.

We flew 17 out of 22 days down there and had some rain. Climbs were smooth, plentiful and marked by vultures called Urubus. The food's great and the people are wonderful.

If you haven't been to Brazil, make sure you get there - it's truly amazing.
