How to know you're in trouble...

Postby Robb » Thu Jan 17, 2008 6:32 pm

You know you're in trouble when you're face to face with your instructor sixty seconds after launch:

(this guy was carried out in a back board, but was only bruised; he flew the next day)

First thermal with a new wing (yes, you know this guy...):

Otherwise, the flying in Valle De Bravo is fantastic!

The bottom one is my stall recovery after stalling out of a cravatted spiral.

Glad I had that one in my bag of tricks.

Registration for the Monarca is tomorrow and first task on Domingo. It was a grey day today so patience was a virtue, for when it did get sunny people were specked all over the place.
We had a task yesterday and about 10 of us completed it more or less, a few ended short of lake, I was lucky enough to get the convergence on the south side of the lake and climbed like a bullet to base made the last turn and back to the lake with over 10k.

Many pilots showing up from around the world, the Valic bros were flying today, I heard the Ewa W. pulled out and went home because of some shenanigans that Alex was pulling on her to be his ambassador to the world after all this bad press he's received.

More later, Andy

Alehandro olazabel i think is his name, check out paraglidingforum.com about the penon/valle et al, he is the local trying to monopolize the flying here.
