This has been a tradition for the last 5 years and hopefully we can make it happen again this year. Those of us with nothing better to do on Christmas try to get a flight together....anywhere. We've had some eipc years, and some less than epic years but every year it's been fun. If you have nothing better to do get in touch and we'll start putting together a crew!

Weeeeel it seems a tad windy up there. Looks like our best shot may be The Avenue or Bates but it's going to have to stop blowing offshore at 30kts first..;P

There were gusts at Montecito peak last night up to 93.

Winds aloft are backing down a bit. Montecito is down to 1G9 so Gary and I are going to put together a crew for Skyport. Probably ~11am meet. Get in touch for the details!

Wheelie, GMoney, Wayne, Wade, DD and I hit Skyport around 11:30 and got nice 30-45 minute flights in. Conditions were surprisingly good and we found good cores up to 3k though the winds aloft created some creepy air at that level. We'd have stayed up longer had we not tried for the beach. First solo flight in 6 months too so my bump tolerance wasn't all it could be.
