I think the day got better and better after Ron and Bob launched from the Alternator. They worked hard in the front of West Bowl to stay up and it payed off as they suddenly got high enough to cross toward Cathedral peak. That's when the rest of the pilots at launch decided to take off. It was a little spicy at first, but it was working really well in the back and on top of West Bowl. Cathedral peak was capricious but finally triggered enough of a thermal to continue East. The R&R worked like a charm and the thermal factory even better, with fat and big thermals... We (Jim Maddox, Bo on a tandem and I) ended our flight with a nice relaxing slide to East Beach.
Thanks to Aaron for a (fun) ride back to the T... (I will avoid repeating here the subjects of our discussion)
