EJ Looking West / Tuesday Late Morning

Last night was wet but there is drying through tomorrow (Wednesday), which has a similar lapse rate as today but with more sun. Wind is light down low both days, from the north up high today clocking around to come from the west on Wednesday. The lapse rate is weak but not inverted.

Timing may vary, but it currently looks like a quick front sweeps through Wednesday night followed but robust post frontal instability and moderately stiff post frontal wind from the NW increasing with altitude, maybe too much for PGs in our local mountains? Advantage HGs.

Friday both the robust lapse rate and wind relax. The lapse looks good down low but fades higher up where the wind clocks around, light from the west down lower and low double digits from the north up higher, increasing with altitude.

I suspect Bates will stir stiff on Thursday and then less so on Friday

Haven’t looked at the weekend detail yet but I’ve heard comments that it should be sunny, and if we extrapolate Friday’s trend, nice flying weather... but need to update later in the workweek.
