Aletrnator 9/15

Got a ride w/ Bob P who took a bunch of chad students to Alternator today.
Got there around 11:30 or so.
I found consistet but not frecuent cycles coming in.
Was the 1st one off.
Found some lift on the last ridge on the way to the landslide, took me to 4200 or so.
Since I couldnt find more lift for a while and wanting to fly over westbowl I left a bit early, only to find no real thermals anywhere else.
Preety bouyant must of the way.

Left w/ a couple 100 over w.bowl to try my luck on the new LZ.

Almost all the way to the LZ found consistent thermals coming off this patch of dirt w/ lots of rocks all neatly arranged and some sort of machinery.
(you'll see it..)

it would go off very regularly so stayed there catching ride after ride up.
I want to say it kept taking me to 2500 or so.

When my time ran out i landed on the dirt road that leads to the parking. (lots of small boulders and rocks on the field)

Nice clean airflow on aproach.

Everyone made it to the "LZ" w/o trouble.
it was a fairly bouyant day though.

Thanks for the ride Bob!

Right on Kabir. I have to go walk that LZ. A bunch of us (hang glider pilots) flew Eliminator and it was very nice. I never got much above 3600 but it was very smooth and consistent. It kept going off even late in the afternoon. Max lift was 400 feet per minute for me. Flew for over a couple hours.
