here comes the storm

Kabir, Alex, and I went to SP today with HGs Greg, jim, and Terry. It was clear and cold with the front moving in. Launched about 11 or so and came into the AF high and then caught it. Sharp edges, 7-8 hun with 1k cores. Had a soft boundary at 34, finally punched through over the TF and up to 43 or so very cold, and interesting mixing going on close to the top. Was west at 7mph below 34 and WNW at 5 or so above 34, and large lentis up high out over Solvang with a NW orientation and the storm right behind them, so it was time to play the Bonanza theme and head for the beach. Hooked up with Kabir over parma where he had just climbed up to 3k and we made the beach with a grand. Wind at beach was SW at 8 when we landed and up to 13 when we were folding and the hangs started coming in. They thought it was rowdy too.
