Art, Andy D, and I headed up the nuthouse at 9:15. Arrived at launch at 10:15 with birds already climbing out. Looked like it was going to be good. We wanted to make good and sure so we waited at least an hour before launching. Andy was first off and was clearly trapped under an inversion at about 2200. Art and I finally followed and the scratch-fest began in earnest. There was a bit of east in it with made things extra special. After an hour of scratching Art and Andy were able to sneak up to the ridge top and promptly disappeared in the direction of Nordhoff. I however was floundering and just couldn't break 2600. Finally struggled up and limped toward the Pyramid in obviously leeside conditions. Arrived low and out front at almost every connection and, exhausted and frustrated, landed at TopaTopa school. Art and Andy managed to tag Stooges and get back to the HS. Great flying by both those guys on a day that was punishing us for flying the Nuthouse in Spring conditions.
