Monday 3/12

Tried alternator again with the Seattle crew. Lapse looked stellar, winds in the afternoon were forecasted to be L&V...but alas it was not so. I launched first and found a few scrappy bubbles between launch and WB. Tim was close behind and we crossed the slide easily but didn't find much to stick to. I was able to barely maintain over the bowl and rocks but it was scrappy, punchy and small-cored. 30 minutes in the air at the most. Drew, who hopefully comes up from LA to fly with us more, got a bad east cycle and ended up doing the canyon run. He landed in a pretty bleak spot but was out remarkably quickly with just a few busted lines. The rest of the crew on launch decided to drive down. The east got stronger and stronger as the day progressed. Odd day considering the forecast.
