41 degrees at 6k, 70 degrees on the ground, L & V through 6k...hmmm...you do the math!

Too good to pass up, had to skip work. Again, several of us went down range and 3 of us: Marty, Chris Grantham and myself slipped through the pass and landed at the far end of Ojai. Heights averaged between 3500 - 4500 with max heights in the high 5's.

Mmmmmm and it was damn good. The remarkable bit was that we were all able to stick more or less together the entire time. Naturally I got separated from the pack at whiteledge and did my obligatory sneak-through at 2700 feet, but it all went well and old-faithful got me back up to 5+.

It was Marty's first time through the pass, so props there. Carmen scooped us up at Summit school. Big thanks to her for that rescue. I'll post a tracklog later.

Topped at 5k, 3hours & 55 minutes. 32 miles. My GPS doesn't store that many trackpoints so you're not gonna see the TF->Montecito->Powerlines stuff.

Yup,

What a day, thats me in the one of Deans pic at skyport. (see im part of the xc group too)

I was wearing my acro T-shirt that day (makes me really thro down over the LZ with almost 20 degree spiral ) ;-)

Took off got enough alt then headed across to the attena farm, WOW with no GPS even- I even made some turns.....

headed all the way out to Parma Park. Landed with both feet and skillfully kited my wing for another 20 feet. Parma Park is an LZ thats is located in Santa Barbara incase you forgot Dean and Chris.

I always know it was a good day when I get home 5pm and cars are still parked at Parma. (bastages)

Nice flying guys
Some day boys... ill be there.

At least I would have made the Wright Bro's Proud back in the day.
