Not looking particularly promising for New Year flights from the mountains to the Training Hill?

With increasing flow above ridgeline from the NNW, perhaps the Alternator would offer the best downwind line, however, that launch is a bit overgrown so it might be difficult to get off?

Another option might be The Brotherhood, however, it isn’t aligned directly downwind with the T-hill, so you might need to get a skip across town and then move west on the skip line?

The lapse rate is flat

The early observations show light wind from the north on ridgeline, but the forecast is calling for increasing upper wind to scary levels. There may be an opportunity to launch northside from the Brotherhood, get up a bit in the ridge lift, go OTB in search of a bounce, then move west along the bounce line and hopefully have enough altitude to reach for Elings?

The Channel forecast is calling for SW, not NW, so at some altitude below ridgeline it must be wrapping or pulling in onshore. With a flat lapse-rate it might be more of a sheer than a convergence bounce?

Go to Know?
