Pilot Camera Club - First Meeting

Postby Bo » Thu Feb 16, 2006 3:55 pm

I announced the idea of forming a pilot camera club at the last SCPA meeting which seemed to meet with some enthusiasm. The idea is to discuss various topics about photography as it relates to our love of flight and to encourage development of our abilities to capture our favorite moments of flight.

I registered a web page and have created a very modest page that gives greater details of our first meeting - Saturday, March 18th. We will be meeting at Irene's house around 4:45 in the afternoon.

We will be trying to accomplish a number of things at our first meeting:
1. Each pilot can download 3 photos for a fun competition.
2. Talk about club goals.
3. Small tutorial each meeting.
4. Featured photographer to show 10-15 slides.
5. Photo competition with critique by panel of 3 judges.
6. Potluck dinner.

Check out http://www.pilotcameraclub.com for more details.

You can also e-mail me 3 photos ahead of time at bocrissdesign@hotmail.com Photos should be RGB 1024x768 pixels and saved as a high res .jpeg.

I'm off to Brazil from February 19 - March 14. I won't be able to change the website while I'm gone.

I hope everyone has wonderful flying here in Santa Barbara - I'll see you next month.
