Sat 4/2 Fillmore to Carpinteria
Posted: Sat Apr 02, 2016 6:50 amHad a few opportunities to go OTB, but no chase and I was scheduled to attend a concert Saturday night. Would have gone OTB but wanted a little more altitude. Quit early while the day was still hot to fly home. Flight article and track log to follow?

SB is looking a little weak down low. Expecting more robust activity inland.
Lapse rate and morning wind direction look good for Oat Mountain (Fillmore). Hoping to cross the river to San Cayetano and reach for Ojai. If we get that far we should be able to tag Whiteledge and Divide, then OTB for Pine on the Divide Convergence... then... back to Fillmore with the afternoon SW flow?
Departing Carpinteria at 8:30 to 8:45, 9 to 9:15 in Ventura, and 9:30 to 10 am in Fillmore for an 11 am launch into the SE facing bowl at Oat.
