Big Sur - Oct 13-14-15

Mark the date... SBSA has the Big Sur group campsite booked for the weekend of Oct 13 (Friday night and Saturday night). SA or Hammer will need to confirm which group site is booked though... It's probably the usual though.

If you haven't flown at Big Sur yet, you've been missing out! It's probably one of the most spectacular flights you could ever have. The coastline is just so beautiful up there. It's a great place for recently rated pilots (HG and PG alike) to get more high flight experience, in a non-stressful environment. For more advanced pilots, a thermalling flight is always so special out there...

Flying isn't all that you can do up there: bring your surfboard (Sand-dollar beach, Willow Creak, etc, are just down below), bring your mountain bikes and/or hiking shoes for the scenic trails. Bring your drums, guitars, Red Bulls and stories for the evening campfire...

Anyway, I hope you see you all out there! It's always a great time...

Some of us often go there on Friday morning, so we get a flight on Friday afternoon. I may try to do it again this year...
