Monday mid-morning update:
Yesterday’s forecast for today was calling for warmer at the surface but still cool at 5K. A 9 am review of this morning’s weather shows it a bit more stable than yesterday, warmer both at the surface and at altitude. It is 10 degrees F warmer at Montecito than it is a La Cumbre Peak (at 9 am) which is a good sign. The wind aloft today is more north and slightly stronger than Saturday’s light west wind, but the wind down lower might to be lighter?. It blew through from the west pretty stiff at La Cumbre Peak Sunday afternoon (after 1 PM). La Cumbre Peak was light and variable early on Sunday, but still NE pretty stiff this morning at 9 am. I suspect it will back down by mid day. Use one of the lower launches rather than the ridge line. Sunday was calling for decreasing wind at altitude as the day aged, but today is calling for increasing wind at altitude. It is dryer, but there is still some humidity.

Sunday was good. On paper Monday looks even better? I'll be watching from the sidelines.
