howser, bart and i hitched a ride up with willy. we went to la cumbre peak and hucked off the east facing launch on the road below the hang gliding launch. we cleaned it up a few years back after fire crews cleared the trees after a burn but i dont think anyone ever hucked it as it was still pretty rough and pungy. it is a bit technical but all 3 of us got airborne. bobbed up and down the peak for a while. howser and i took 4200 to the altenator. i may be half baked but it seemed thermals drifted hard out of the east and the wind was west..hmmm. got about 50ft above altenator and had a bitchin bush surf below the ridgline with a hawk back to the peak for a net gain. got to ej bowl and it looked magical green and pulled us in. i toplanded and kited around for a while until howser joined me for an exciting put down. it was glorious up there, we kicked it in large recliners in the breeze with hot egyptian chicks feeding us grapes and iced tea. ok, i made that part up, we were sitting in the dirt with our harnesses and both of us were drinking off a single camelback hose(not at the same time you fags) because one of us forgot his water. it was awesome just being up in the hills hangin out on a beautiful day. after taking off again easier then a dress on prom night we chased each other around hootin and hollarin in buttery smooth climbs at the usual points. the fog on the ocean made for some sweet backdrops but i didnt bring a camera thinking it wasnt gonna be much of a day. good times!
