hey/ brendan, tom pipkin and i hit the nut today- kinda latish. it looked good on paper and reality too. in the air, it was SE as predicted. i had 41 over the nuthouse spine, 56 over spine one and 62 near bruces. flew toward the bumps a couple times with a tail and got slowed to low teens due to S component pushing me up the road at lower alts. in my experience, W xc either feels natural here to me or it doesnt'. if it doesnt, i need to find extra guts; and that depends on my day- or sometimes other pilots in the air (which i suppose you could call pseudo-guts). the E component made E xc work too, so, it was just a fun local nuthouse flight with some decent altitudes. tom hit 7k.
