Did anyone pull a permit for Chief for the wknd?

Ranger office says they are all sold out.

I have a potential driver if someone has a permit. Otherwise we may be looking at Pine.

what is the flying outlook for Pine this weekend?

That's always the big question.

Pine can be pretty fickle. The most we can ever say is that it has some potential. Potential to be good, or potential to suck. Hard to really know until your at launch, and sometimes not even then.

At this point I wouldn't rule it out. Will know more in the morning. Would be nice to have Chief as a back up plan. It is much more reliable, but not so exciting.

Looks like a nice day to fly Ojai today.

Nobody seems to have a permit, so that leaves Pine and the Nuthouse as the only options. I think either would work.
