we met the nicest rattlesnake on the nuthouse trail this morning. the very considerate kind that rattles the whole time but doesn't strike and lets you move him around with a trekking pole. we didnt fly far today but i think it was fun nonetheless...

Thanks for the posts. Is it looking better, same or worse tomorrow for the Nut? While I was hoping to make it today and didn't, I can make it Sunday...

Any snake charmers interested in a repeat?

Looks like a bit of wind up top. There are some folks from out of town who want in if it's doable but SE at 18 at 6k seemed a bit strongish.

this morning, today's wind at 6k is forecasted to be SE at 9 or 10; totally doable. but it'll be cooler today than yesterday- its a little cooler aloft so maybe thats a push, still spread ok enough to expect some pilots could escape nuthouse alcatraz. these days are actually fun too, if you see the challenge as just making it back to the high school... some forecast clouds in ojai today and that can be bad for the nut if its marginal to begin with, like today. (i say marginal in the respect that most people want a really good looking day to help pull them up the hill)... friday looked best (out of the weekend) and we heard of a mysterious pg sighting in the mountains... nuthouse yeti him flyeth also.
