super clear day but didnt expect much, just wanted to huck off a hill. hitched a ride with a full Eagle shag wagon. steady breeze at launch made for an easy climb out about 11.30ish. onto the rr and got to 3700, dove back to spine below ej bowl and got stuck there for a while. rafael was more patient at rr and flew over me and ej bowl and kept on going to the peak where he climbed high. finally got one up to road level and dolphined over to the peak to join raf. he was a few hundy above and behind me and his glider all the sudden looked like an awesome falling horshoe... jeezuss, it came out with a large portion of it cravatted which he eventually pumped out. i thought he was messing around but later said that happened twice when he hit 4500. lucky for me i dont get that high and we cruised together onto altenator where two peeps were skyed out. one was super high at noname and then he/she copped a crappy glide to vor. grantham was still on launch and it looked like it might be tricklin otb. i turned around and limped back to the peak. got to 4200 and went on glide to thermal factory. tons of hang gliders in the air high all over the place now along with marge on tandem with the howser, michele green higher then a bong rip, and all sorts of folks touching the sky gettin that good feelin. Got to 3500 there and headed to shadow all puckered. that spot is always ratty but got the smoothest climb of the day there back to 3300 and off to monticito. nice easy climb up the main spine and spit up over the top to 3800. hit the speedbar and went to parma. touched down in just under my 1 hour time crunch for lunch. back to work... super fun day!
so i gotta say that this artic 3/gto pod harness is bad ass! just point and go!
