Glorius Big Sur

Another fantastic trip to Big Sur. The views were as always gorgeous. The weather was much warmer than normal with t-shirts even in the morning on sunday and great beach weather the whole weekend. Lots of people, great music and drums, good vibes all around. Friday people soared. Saturday was far less than steller with a strong upper level 90 cross wind at launch and the only people who flew got it after hiking down to the lower launch. I opted to bail after twenty minutes to spend time with my daughter Kirra at the beach and what was a bad wind up there was a perfect light offshore wind and perfect shoulder to head high surf all dang day long. The beach was warm and yes, I had my board and had a great time playing with Kirra and surfing. Some people brought their motorcycles and had fun jamming around and exploring. Sunday looked good and it was completely different with nice light launch conditions all day. The ridge was bouyant but I didn't climb and eventually tried to soar the western edge of the front range which had some west wind bump but nothing sustainable and didn't notice the nice cummie on the low point in front of the ranger station that was soarable all day,.....dugh. The party Sat night was very entertaining with music galore, women with burning balls of fire, and a new hg pilot nicholas doing flips( I kid you not) over Aarons too high fire while people gasped and the beat went on.

Lew, you should consider, weather appropriate, coming up some time and bringing your kayak, or even better two or more kayaks. I saw some people cruising around on them this last weekend and there must be some great fishing and exploring out there.
