At 11:00 the FAA Van departed Parma (thanks for waiting) with the following suspects; Chad, Wade, George, Rich, Jim, and Marge with a new eaglette (Terry I think). Jimmy got a little distracted with the brilliant conversation and kind of drove passed Skyport, but EJ Bowl sounded good so on we went. This was my first time to EJ and we were all very happy with the clean launch and perfect cycles coming in. Warm, clear blue skies, ideal t-shirt conditions. Chad was first off, then Rich and I was soon to folow. Lift right off launch that was good enough to turn in and gain a couple of hundred over the top. Off to the R&R, lot's of lift and up to about 4500 before a fast glide to the Thermal Factory. Chad and Rich were right behind me and more easy lift was ours for the taking. I had something to do at home and left for Parma. It was so amazingly smooth on the way out that I just couldn't bring myself to land at Parma, the Sirens of the Sea were calling to me and to hell with the appointment. Darn near fell asleep, it was so smooth, warm and boyant all the way out to the beach. Chad, George, and Wade came out so high they deverted East to cross into the airspace at the appropriate altitude, then back up the E Beach LZ. Within minutes of being packed up, Jimmy arrived with the FAA van and in no time he had us back to our cars at Parma. 1:00 and I was on my way home, well in time for my appointment. It just doesn't get any sweeter than this.
