Just wondering where people are meeting. I'm not sure I can go yet, probably not, but if I do get to go out where are people meeting in SB or Ojai, Nordhoff?

I was the only one who flew at Pine today. If you can believe it... too light! Even the Atos (Sylmar crew) couldn't climb up and over and landed at the Sandpile (actually he landed on the road at the Sandpile. Buddies stopped traffic to clear the area). I flew around 3 and landed at TJ's. Soared the cliff abouve the LZ for about 15 - 20 then landed is TJ with a 90 degree cross wind (that died completely when on final)... one downtube lost... :-( Looks like the stellar lapse rate and weather was too far south of us. We could see the clouds, but they never made it up our way.
We then hit up a swimming hole on the way back. Good times!

Thanks for the report James. Some things about flying I don't miss. Of course the dirt kicking and commentary is always fun and hanging in the outdoors I always love. You know if you keep hitting the expected good days you are going to get it one of these times. When I didn't see all the high clouds I thought something was up. Happy 4th. Tony dg
