A few of us hitched a ride with Jim and the Fly Above All van to the mountains today. The temp didn't change much on the way up and I think most of us were expecting a peaceful sled ride down to Pharma. I launched first, into a light cycle, and ended up staying relatively high on buoyant air coming into the round house ridge. I discovered some small bullet like thermals blasting off and rode one up to about 2700 where I slammed into an inversion. As the day progressed the inversion started to rise. I ended up taking my last thermal to about 3300 and flew out to the beach. Great and unexpected flight. Dave, Bo and I ended up there. It was cool watching Kip and Pete dive in on their HGs. Sweet day
