Lapse rate looks good, but will the NE get blocked so that it's launchable today?

That's the million dollar question...and the answer is.......maybe ..
Just have to wait and see .

Guess I picked the wrong day to go surfing.....it sucked. Saw Jah Lyon heading up with his glider earlier....

Yes indeed, it was launchable. I was on the fence about driving up from Moorpark, but after I talked to Little John, I scrambled to get on the road. I don't know who got the highest, but I saw some pilots at what looked like 5K over the R&R. The high cloud deck moved in when I launched which made for spotty lift and marginal launch conditions. Didn't hook the house thermal, so headed for the TF - got up over the TF a couple of times and eventually went across to the Tit. Scratched there for a long time but finally made it over the R&R. Went across to the TF and then followed Hammer out to the beach. It was dead calm and I drifted forever (having full VG on didn't help). Great and very clear day in paradise! Hammer - thanks for waiting for me at Parma and for the ride up.
