SCPA & SBSA Discussion Board

If you check the oz report http://ozreport.com/ you can see a few of our local HG pilots flying in the Rob Kells Competition at the Florida Ridge. We've got Ben Haug and Greg Brown in Sport class and Zac Majors in the open class. Zac is currently 5th and Ben is in second. Looks like Greg didnt fly in the latest round and I read conditions looked a bit ominous. Good luck to all our SBSA pilots, we'll be reading the OZ reports and keeping up on your progress!!

Well, it's all over but the crying...... Kidding. Our pilots competed hard and I'm looking forward to hearing about all the stories. Zac, in the open class got sixth place and Ben ended up winning the sports class!! Both, he and Greg learned a lot and I hope we get to hear about it from them either on this blog or at the next club meeting. Congrats to all three of our club pilots for making the effort and competing in the latest competition!!!!!

Thanks for cheering us on Tony! We all had a great time and got a lot of flying in considering that Florida is having a really wet year. They gave me first place because Mark Bolt kindly stepped aside since he is a open class pilot that just entered the sport class to help a friend learning to fly XC. I'll put together a slide show for the next meeting and see if Greg and Zac can join me.
