Tinkering with the notion of sucking down some O2 this weekend myself. What's the potential report for the weekend, anyone know? 805 684 5705 Tom M

i am not the best to answer this question, there are many with way more experience with the owens than myself.

GFS currently forecasts light winds from SE at all altitudes of concern, which should yield pretty sweet conditions. :)

other opinions?

For Bishop, NAM models say it'll be light and variable to 12,000 ft Fri, Sat, and Sun. Above 12,000', light North East becoming light NW on Sun, slightly stronger aloft each afternoon. Lapse rate looks good to 14k each day...tapering off to 18k. Your gonna spec out !

Ok, that does it! I called Hammer to see if his head still fits into his helmet. He said the swelling has gone down and he may join me for a day or two in the, yawn, oh so boring, Owens this weekend. I am topping off my O2 tank tomorrow, filling the ice chest with medical supplies and preparing to shove off at 5 tomorrow. It' s not too late to tell your loved ones goodbye and join in. Give me a call before 5 if you want to go.
