Check this out... He flew to that Island on the left and back. He said it was about a mile away. Look at that blue water!

Thats Rabbit Island off the Makapuu site. In the 70's the majority of the pilots flying there were from here.. You can pick off the thermal from Rabbit and climb thousands. It's one trick a few of us taught the locals there.

They would say "watch out for the turbulence"..ya turb going up...
