Alternator sunday

Bunch of us rode the eagle van to the alternator today
After yesterday and since the air cooled off quite a bit in the last night it appeared to be have a good chance of some fun flying.

We found good cycles at launch albeit a bit east.
And it looks like some one racked it up a bit as well
THANKS!

Ty started helping people launch and steered them in the right direction as most people where on their 2-3rd flights.

At fist it looked definitely NOT like yesterday.
But you never know unless you go
So I took off and found a nice thermal over one the rocks on the last ridge before the landslide.
It boosted me up to 4200 or so.
And it just kept going! Not so much a consistent thermal as a constant thermal. Super nice.
Also the top of WB was working pretty well.

Anyways, Most people got to fly over the landslide with plenty of altitude while others got to get to 4000 or so for a while.

We saw a fire start over towards carp (inland a bit) It was a bit sketchy how big it got in a very short time...
Here we go again with the fire thing...

I think everyone had a great time and it was nice to turn in some nice thermals at last.
Hopefully tomorrow allows us to have a good fun flying day with cool people!

Primo!

Kabir failed to mention that he flew out to the training hill and inspired all the eaglets who were training at Elings. Nice flying bro!
