Sundowners

Postby faoro » Wed May 24, 2006 5:30 pm

Riss Estes, Tom Pipkin and I tried to fly today. I launched the Brotherhood because it was blowing down at Skyport. Got 100-150 feet over and went OTB. Had an SIV clinic on the way down to Skyport over Flores Flats in all the rotor. The wing stood on end twice to express its displeasure over my decision to launch. Riss got some of it on video, but the audio was the best part.

Are "Sundowners" indicative of "high" pressure conditions?

My understanding is that it's a large pressure difference, with hot, offshore flow predominant.
