Friday flying (and top landing)

Ben, Jonh G and I stopped on our way to launch today and put up some streamers at the wide spot in the road a couple miles below launch. It's the spot where I'm told Trampeneu use to test fly gliders from when Eliminator was socked in.

I launched first and was sledding until I got to the "top landing" spot. Slight tail on landing, but it's up hill and I was able to put my Falcon down OK.

Little John was king of the day with a nice little tour around topping out about 3200' and landing well after us.

Ben launched and I re-launched just before he got out to me (behind the antanae farm). We thermalled together shortly before he headed towards the monastary and Parma. I almost got high enough to go over for a second top landing, but not quite.

I'll need to get a couple more pvc tubes to put up some more streamers (there's 2 spots ready).

I think tomorrow will be good. I hope to see everyone out there,

That's funny....I was riding my bike up Gibralter Saturday and saw the streamers and thought "wtf ?!" I've wondered many times if you could land or launch at that spot.....
