The Eagle crew made a move for Parma at 10:00. We were stopped on the road for 15 minutes, it appeared road crews were preparing for flooding by knocking down any rocks that might be a threat. It didn't take long we were on are way, until we were stopped again. This time it was asphalt being laid. No worries, in fact the road has gotten so much better than anytime I can remember. There was a nice cloud base forming over the round house ridge, and it was blowing up nice and straight at launch. Small group today, Rob, Ty, Marge, and our visiting friends John B, Ed and Ken. We all flew out towards the light over the monastery finding smooth lift everywhere easy climb outs to 3500. Everyone one got to base and were able to fly for over an hour. Rob and I flew out to the beach after the north came and took away our thermals away. The lift continued everywhere gliding out, even the ocean and city had clouds forming. I can't remember climbing out over the ocean before? Ty, Marge, Ken, John B, and Ed all landed at Parma hoping to be youtubed. Kevdog

I must say i am jealous of those of you in Santa Barbara. Here in Fillmore, these East winds shut down are flying site. One of these days a talented pilot i will not mention said he will show me how to launch from Oat Mt in light East winds. When he does, I will meet you'all in the sky over Santa Barbara at the end of my XC flight.
