SCXC in SB November 23 2008

Even though we didn't get to fly on Sunday, I took the liberty of photo-documenting all the BSing and shenanigans at the T anyways. Seeing that flying wasn't an option, my girlfriend and I went to the training hill to practice kiting for a bit then called it a day. Kiting was fun, but I was too busy practicing some sweet moves to take pictures of myself.

Here's the pictures from the T.

Thanks Dean for a really fun event over the weekend. I know it takes a lot of effort and then you didn't even get to fly, so big thanks! On top of that it was your Birthday. You look really good for 58, really.

The course was challenging due to an east wind component. It definitely is an advantage have a DHV 2, 2-3, and better yet comp glider on this kind of day. I know at least 2 pilots flying a DHV 2 made the course - they did great!

Looking forward to the next/last event in a few weeks. I hope all the locals turn out this next time. We had pilots coming in from San Francisco and San Diego and even Alaska. So if you're living and flying locally, it would be great to help welcome these visiting pilots. It was a really fun weekend.

Thanks to Marge and Bob for a fun time on Saturday night. That really sealed the deal.

Looking forward to the next one!
