Nuthouse (take 2)

art launched 1st and early after seeing a hawk cirlcing up nicely in more typical (than yesterday) nuthouse launch conditions. it was, for me, a normal sratchfest getting over nuthouse ridge... but i got torched up to 4500 at the pyramid and made my way east to bruces gaining all the way. after tanking up at stooges art took the faster outside lane and i the inside to intersect twin peaks. we easily cored up chiefs spine... passing up thru 5k the temp dropped at least 20 immediately and the lapse was palpable. i tagged chief summit and took the high road east at 6200. i climbed to 7050 at the upper w repeater and went on slow glide to santa paula ridge. got up and out as soon as possible (nervous flying @ sp ridge as usual!) and relaxed on glide to fillmore with 1200 to spare at the vons lz. ~~ meanwhile art landed out @ east repeater ~ he procurred a ride out of the foothills in a dune buggy and hitched back to the truck before i could fully test my "pilot needs ride" sign...
