Thursday Flight

Well I got back in the air yesterday for the first time since my bike accident. I got a call from Bo who was doing some tandems but I just couldn't get up the mtn. with him as I had already planned lunch with my Grandma for her Birthday. I was definitely hungary to fly but rule number one is not to cancel with the G-ma for anything! Got lunch out of the way and checked back in with Bo on launch to hear that it was coming in great with nice cycles. I decided to head up by myself but had to stop at Kabir's to pick up my wing. Got to launch around 1:30 and Bo had just had a very nice flight getting around 1000 over westbowl in friendly air. It was still looking good so I took to the air and climbed out at launch getting to around 4400. Headed over to the peak but didn't find what I was looking for so moved out front to cathedral but I had a feeling once I got low I wasn't getting back up as there seemed to be a strong inversion. The glides were great but I was bouncing off about 3000 or so as I scratched my down to the antennae farm. The always predictable thermal there got me up enough to make an easy glide to the beach. Thanks Bo for picking me up and thanks SB for a great welcome back milk run. We have it too good here!

Sorry Cormac, I didn't see your post. Let's fly this weekend. I would make a play again today but I'm stuck at work. I hope someone else gets some.
