Another beautiful day in paradise

Another great day of flying in Santa Barbara. The Eagle van met early for a LZ walk with the new eaglettes and a group of visiting pilots. A full eagle van drove up at 10:15. It was blowing in nicely at skyport when we arrived. It was great seeing the Angel guys (Scotty and Roland) already setting up their gliders. They were joined by a large group of hang gliders at Eliminator. We thought about waiting for a little heating but Dave Bader decided to launch and milked the lift out front and was able to make it over launch and head towards the R&R. Began launching the eaglettes. They all had great launches and really nice flights. Malcolm and Andy Dainsberg made it to east beach and were joined by a number of HGs. Sounded like Terry was going for it too but with 1600 over the Rivera he choose to head back to parma. Bart may have landed early to help un-drape a wing from a friendly tree. Congratulations to Andrew on his first high flight. Nice work! Aaron and Kurt both had their 2nd flights from Skyport and flew really well. Our visiting pilots included Adam from Canada had his first taste of Santa Barbara flying and was looking forward to more. Thanks to Kim for grabbing the boys at the beach. BTW...That new hang glider Wayne is flying sure is pretty. Let's do it again soon!
