Anyone flying SB? EJ was fun last week and todays weather is even better for the local mountains.

11:30 Parma departing for EJ.

BAM!! 3 degrees cooler from cito to la cumbre this morning, 5 degrees cooler by the afternoon. Strong climbs on all the high points all day long. alBotross, master bader, treeman, bobA, brother blake, and a foreinger all hucked ej bowl. easy to stay above launch there, hit 4600 at la cumbre early on, 4200 was the usual after that, tagged altenator and when i came back the foreigner was on the hill side down below the road by the vultures den. i top landed and found out he decided to land because he thought he was getting too low. interesting, hucked back off and climbed up with the gang at la cumbre. bobA boomed out at RR after tagging altenator, so we all chased him. 4200 again at thermal factory where treeman and brother blake headed to the beach. master bader, bobA and i glided to monticito peak. bob and i got stuck working the lower flat spine in the inversion and bader just kept goin to secret bowl. he looked like he got a small boost there and then headed to layer cake. he came in about half way up and said he got a buoyant glide to summerland beach. bobA went back to tea bowls then landed on parkers fireroad for an impressive glide from low on cito. didnt seem like wind from any direction today so since i was low and circling down i figured i would try below secrect bowl for craps and giggles. got one to 2900 up to just on top of secret bowl, so i surfed back the front of cito peak, nothing at the normal spine so made a play for low on shadow. got lucky and drifted figure eights up the spine till even with the top of shadow so went on glide for the front of parkers, milked the convection on the rock faces and glided to the rock, gained 50ft with a vulture and put her on final to parma.
