Rolled into Elings Sunday morning expecting my students, who were no-shows. I was there for the day anyway and figured I'd at least play, hoping for some of the epic conditions they got Friday. However, Willy happened to be setting up his Condor 225 and had a relatively light student load, so I jumped in for a day of hang-dangling! I'd taken a few lessons back in 2007 at the Ellenville Flight Park in NY, but nothing over 50 feet. What a blast to give it a whirl on our training hill! By early afternoon he had me rippin' in some fun flights from the top of the hill in a Falcon 195 and all the landings were no-drama. Very cool to be a student again! I'd encourage any PG pilots who feel like they have the PG thing pretty dialed in, and want a little challenge, to go try it out. It's definitely a different experience and takes you back to that feeling you had on your first day of paragliding.
