Wrappin' It Up at Chief!

We've had an epic 2 days at Chief. Lucked out getting the permit Monday AM and had a great day with a group from Seattle, maxing out the Suburban. Bob P made the HS and we could have stayed up as long as we wanted at Chief, bouncing up to 5800ft. A handfull of students got their first high flights too and climbed over launch in fatty-smooth lift. Tuesday we did a repeat with identical conditions. This time our hand-full of mountain newbies were all about gettin' up and spent 45+ minutes climbing out over mid-spine. Stellar day for all and lots of smiles in the LZ.

I got a call from the USFS Ojai Office that the road would be closing for the Winter at 4PM Tue. We closed out Chief in a spectacular way! Can't wait for next year when it opens up again! We'll still have the Nuthouse to look forward to so get ready for the annual Christmas At The Nuthouse flight. I expect to see the regulars coming out for it!
